Dear Donors,
Thank you so very much for continuing to help #RebuildLouisianaStronger!
www.lafayettela.recovers.org is spreading the word about items needed by our Louisiana residents, as well as, our local volunteer organizations supporting flood impacted families. Our site supports Lafayette parish, as well as, neighboring parishes making up the "Acadiana" region.
•Shockwave (mold remediation) - gallon size •Continuous spray canisters to spray the liquid Shockwave solution •Large Plastic sorting bins needed (like Rubbermaid/Sterilite makes—sold at Big Lots, Walmart, Target, etc.) •Work Gloves •Dust Masks •Push Brooms •Brooms with dust pans •Drop Cloths •1 1/4 drywall nails •1 1/4 drywall screws •Roto zip tools/bits •Screw guns/bits •Extension cords •Keyhole saws •Drywall Rasps •Toe Kick Lift Bars •Cloth Nail Aprons •Chalk Boxes •Drywall Joint Compound •Drywall Tape •Taping and Floating Knives •Sanding tools •Mud pans •Paint Primer •Paint Brushes •Paint Rollers/handles •Hammers (many places are sold out) •Drapes •Pencils •Utility Knives •Box fans •Cleaning supplies •Heavy construction garbage bags •Protective disposable suits •Wheel barrels
PERSONAL HYGIENE Personal hygiene items are still needed, including feminine products, adult diapers in various sizes, baby diapers in various sizes, from newborn up to and including size 5-6, Bug Spray.
NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS - Non-perishable food items are still needed, including canned protein options, canned or died soup options, cereals, breakfast bars, granola bars, protein bars, tomato sauce, pasta, baby food, dry rice cereal for babies, snacks for toddlers, various baby formula, etc. etc.
NEW or VERY GENTLY USED FURNITURE - This is beginning to be a HIGH DEMAND ITEM. Please contact us at lafayettela.recovers@gmail.com to discuss the details of your donated furniture items. Bulk shipment of NEW FURNITURE can be scheduled for delivery to our warehouse for distribution to residents impacted by the flood. We may request photos of used furniture prior to acceptance into our distribution center.
NOTE: LOCALS who have FREE or DISCOUNTED furniture may also choose to simply post photos to "For Sale, Wanted or Free in Acadiana".
PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS - Perishable Food Items are considered by Special Request only. Please contact lafayettela.recovers@gmail.com to discuss so that we can determine feasibility and specific storage needs of your donation.
